Have you ever felt that the process of finding talented and approachable design teams was a process that would most likely end in disappointment and frustration? Not only do we hear this and similar fears from many of our new clients, but we've experienced it ourselves: freelancers who don't return phone calls, agencies that treat you like an inconvenience, designers who lack a basic process for generating ideas. The process of finding good design talent thus becomes a joyless one.
Bold Type Design is the result of seven creative entrepreneurs agreeing that good design shouldn't be hard to come by.
We began as a writer, a film maker, a PR consultant, a strategist, two designers, two programmers and an animator. We joined together because we recognized the great talent in each other and knew that together, we could solve the problem. We've now become a small team of creative entrepreneurs who believe that designers these days are a dime a dozen. It doesn't take much to stand out above the multitudes, but what it does take makes all the difference in the world.
Our clients call on us to save the day. Sometimes they need a PowerPoint presentation for a meeting tomorrow, or it might be because their marketing collateral keeps ending up in the recycling bin. Either way, they know that they can depend on us for creative ideas and a honed skill for listening to their needs.
